ABOUT US

      The YMCA of Baguio was organized in Benguet Province, specifically at the Antamok Mines in Itogon, on December 1, 1949 with John Hausserman as President of Baguio Antamok Mines. It had a two-storey building and a gymnasium. The YMCA building was destroyed during the Second World War, in September 1944. Three years later, a campaign fund for rebuilding as launched by Dr. Everet Stanton Turner, general secretary of the YMCA of the Philippines. The YMCA gradually rose from the ashes to become one of the leading chapters of the national movement in the Philippines.

     Over the years, illustratrious sons of Baguio and the Cordillera passed on the Baguio YMCA leadership.
